Ylsa has always been proud to be a Ridgeback. The thought of having been born a Skydancer, as his father was, never fails to send chills down his spine. A relatively young male, Ylsa had spent some time exploring the Scarred Wasteland on his own, just experiencing life as it happened. Through all that exploring, he realized he gravitated towards members of his own species, finding solace in their shared habits and preferences. He dreamt of digging his own underground burrows, of creating a safe haven for Ridgebacks like himself, born far from their ancestral homelands in the Shifting Expanse.

And so one day, he began to do just that. The project started small, but gradually grew as he met fellow Ridgebacks looking for a home or a place to stay in unfamiliar territory. Before long, Ylsa's burrow became a hotspot for Ridgebacks from all corners of Sorneith, each finding comfort and company in his modest establishment. The more Ridgebacks visited, the more the complex grew until it became a fully-functioning underground inn of sorts, almost constantly filled with the lively conversations of Ridgebacks from around the world. Of course, other ground-dwelling breeds were welcome too, as long as they didn't mind waking up to find their personal property had been "borrowed" by a resourceful Ridgeback roommate.
