Having been fascinated by rocks and minerals from an early age, Geos decided to make the study of geology his future. The youngest pupil in his class, Geos attended an elite school in Dragonhome where he learned from the best earth flight geologists. It was obvious early on that he had an aptitude for his chosen subject, and his instructors began entrusting him with more and more difficult tasks, pushing him to see just how far he could go in pursuit of knowledge. Geos spent an entire year living in Carinstone Rest and researching the unique gem deposits there. The Pearlcatcher was unbothered by the fact that the place was an infamous burial ground, or else his eagerness to learn overcame any fear he possessed.
As a culmination of his studies, Geos had to present a final research project-- one that would take him beyond the borders of Dragonhome. Being born into Wind flight, Geos was not opposed to traveling to other flights, and yet part of him was reluctant to leave the land of the Earthshaker which he loved so dearly. He decided to journey to the strange and twisted lands of the Shadowbinder, and stayed with a clan in the Driftwood Drag while he gathered data on the geological formations of the region. As the months went on, Geos was surprised to find himself becoming more and more drawn to the place and more specifically, to his new clan. They were a fairly small group, and because of this, they acted like more of an extended family than a proper clan. When his research project was complete, Geos had to return to Dragonhome to present his findings to his school. As soon as he graduated from his program, however, Geos found himself traveling back to the Driftwood Drag… and back to his newfound family. |
