The Bat
"I wouldn't look away if I were you..."
⚥ | information broker Once the leader of a vicious gang of bandits, she has put her past behind her! Now she is... an equally shady information broker. Her cruel, scumbag nature hasn't changed a whole lot... Still, she is a dragon of her word who will always uphold her end of a bargain, and she expects others to do the same. Her real name is Komori, but she usually goes by "the Bat", her alias from back when she used to be a thief. The three things she loves most are Ranka, fresh fruit (mangoes and grapes are her favorites), and wearing entirely too much jewelry. If it's shiny and gold, she probably likes it. When she lost her upper left fang in her youth, she even got it replaced with a gold one. During her homeland's savage wars for territory and resources, her bandit gang was attacked and dismantled by Juri. As such, the Bat really isn't fond of her-- and the fact that she had to join Juri's dumb little clan in order to survive added insult to injury. Their relationship is tense, and the Bat is constantly provoking Juri just to annoy her. One would think that they were only begrudgingly allies, but they still hang out sometimes to spar or play games, so they must be warming up to each other a little bit. Seems to know a secret or two about everyone, thanks to the wide array of connections she has across Sornieth. She has a lot of acquaintances and fair-weather friends, but would only consider herself close with Ranka. Due to an incident in her teenage years that left her face and stomach scarred, the Bat harbors a deep-rooted fear (bordering on paranoia) of letting her guard down. random notes for lore/etc.:
- has two long scars in a cross shape on the left side of her face, as well as a couple of old stab wounds on her stomach
- almost never cries. sometimes she thinks she's forgotten how.
- says she's fine on her own, but gets horribly lonely if she has to go more than a day without socializing
- (absolutely Does Not sulk. preposterous.
- has a distinct, almost barking laugh. Ranka thinks it's kinda cute.
- retains information incredibly well. will remember the most useless unimportant details from 10 years ago.
- used to be far more forgiving as a teenager. not so much anymore. got hurt one too many times...
- describes herself as "meticulous" or "careful", but the few who know her well would describe her as "a little neurotic"
