If there was one thing Sledge took pride in, it was his strength. Built like a Guardian rather than a Banescale, the male was all muscle and boy did he know it. A bit of a show-off, Sledge loved lifting heavy objects or challenging other dragons to duels, always confident that he could pull off such feats. In his mind, the toughest dragons lived in the Scarred Wastelands, and so he decided that was where he should live too. Despite (or perhaps because of) his cocky personality, however, Sledge had difficulty finding a clan that was willing to accept him. He had always believed that his superior strength would have perspective clans fighting over him, but it turned out, most clans were looking for a dragon with personality rather than brawn. Feeling humility for the first time in his life, Sledge stopped showing off and instead started to get to know the dragons around him, taking an interest in them instead of expecting them to fawn over him. To his surprise, it worked! Before long, he had made friends with another Banescale who offered to introduce him to their clan, which badly needed someone with his strength to act as a clan guard. Sledge readily accepted, eager to prove his worth both inside and out.
