Bryndis trained to become a forest guardian. He dreamt of defending the balance of life with his claws. No hunter took more than they needed, no waterway left stained, nothing killed without honor as long as he defended the forest. That was, until the blaze came. Bryndis watched helplessly as fauna and flora perished, disintegrating in the flame’s hot breath.

In time, Bryndis’s scabs became shining scars, but his nights would always be rift with roaring fires and billowing smoke. He continues to battle, to defend the defenseless, but his greatest nemesis continues to be the extinguished fire.
