Crystal is one of the survivors of the distruction of The CottonMouth, a pirate ship that was once one of the fearless pirate ships in The Sea of 1,000 Currents. There are many stories about ambushes The CottonMouth is responsible for. There are also many rumors about what happened to The CottonMouth. In Alligator Clan, there is a story that The CottonMouth was destroyed when The AC Trident 2 and an ally clan ship encountered The CottonMouth. From there, there is a lot of uncertainty about what really happened.

According to the log of the Trident 2, a UFO was seen above the ship right before it exploded.

Today we found The Federation CottonMouth which I believe to be a sign The Trident 1 is near.Shortly after we intercepted a signal from an airship which IronDuke confirmed to be the WFC Cannon Ball. Moments after I sent a transmission to The CannonBall, a saucer shape object appeared in the sky above the CottonMouth and zapped a perfectly verticle lazer at the ship and the CottonMouth blew up into smitherines. Once the ship was blown up, the saucer shape object was gone.

Crystal, on the other hand denies that there ever was any sight of such a thing. However, he does tell the story of a Guardian from Alligator Clan taking over the ship right before it's destruction and believes the ship was probably blown up by a time bomb.
