Kage left his clan in the Blacksand Annex with a desire to breathe clean, fresh air. His initial thought had been to find a new clan by the water, but as a dragon raised from a fire nest, water made him nervous.

Instead, he made his way to the forests of the Viridian Labyrinth, where the trees would clean the air. He met another coatl on his journey - a female with plumage as firey as his home. She seemed so suited to the Ashfall Waste, that Kage was surprised that she would want to leave. In contrast, Kage knew he appeared to most as a pale, delicate dragon. (Admittedly, he was a little vain, constantly cleaning ash and soot from his belly).

Her reasons where similar to his own, she was bored by the rocky landscape and wanted to see somewhere lush and buzzing with life. And so they travelled together. She was good company- sharp and funny, although she didn't take kindly to any moping or whining from him.

The Clan they settled with when they arrived in the Everbloom Gardens, was literally a breath of fresh air. Trees rustled pleasantly in the fresh breeze, and there was vibrant foliage everywhere. Flowers and plants that where so beautiful and delicate, but not at any risk because of these traits. They thrived. Kage hoped he would too.
