Biography

Dust
"I'll wait as long as I need, 'til my face is dry
or I'll just blame it on weed, or something in my eye"

-"Michael in the Bathroom" from Be More Chill

Who, who are you really?
[WIP]A secret runaway, Dust's past is known to no one in the clan; of course, that's never stopped the Aikka clan from taking just about anyone in. That doesn't mean you get to stay, of course, and Dust isn't ignorant enough to think she's earned a free spot in the clan. She's been in the clan long enough to have earned a permanent spot in it,

She works hard to

And where, where are you going?
[wip]Dust hadn't been sure what to expect of the Viridian Labyrinth when she set out to hide there, but she hadn't expected it to be quite so muddy. Her fault for arriving in the middle of monsoon season, she supposed.

Her arrival to the Nature territory was met with no fanfare, and the mercenary she had hired to guide her safely there had been cold as he dropped her off at the eastern crossroads, leaving Dust more alone than she had been in many years. Who knew how long this stint to escape it all would last. She hoped the gems she gave the mercenary were enough to buy his silence.

She had needed a place to lay low. She could no longer tolerate the stifling, oppressive politics of her home. The drama, the deceit, not to mention her dreadful arranged fiancé... This wasn't the first time she had run away, but she hoped that this time, at least, it could be the last.

She had been perusing the stalls, unsure of what else to do with herself in this new place, when a small stash of Azurite caught her eye. She couldn't help but approach the stall to investigate, even if the price tag on the crystals available were far out of her price range for what she could afford.

The Skydancer hanging around the back of the temporary stall introduced herself as Amethyst, striking up casual conversation with Dust. Even though Dust was nervous, she cautious decided to entertain the older woman in conversation. She was surprised when it didn't take long for the Skydancer to work out that Dust was in need of a home, and suspicious when she so graciously offered her a place to stay for a night or two.

She turned Amethyst down on the offer. It was just... a little too convenient, for Dust's taste.

[WIP WIP WIP]

Since making home in the Aikka clan, Dust has largely kept to herself, keeping her own promise to stay low and not draw attention to herself outside the clan. She's made acquaintances with some of the more prominent members of the clan, but she's not ready to be openly social with the whole group just yet.

Dust has made a small den for herself underground, out of the way from the more densely populated areas. She has a small window in the ceiling with crystals hanging from it, that reflect a beautiful array of colors throughout her room, filling it with beautiful colors when the sun shines through.

"Oh, that Dust? Yes, she's fine. One of the better Pearlcatchers I've met. I feel like she's trying too hard not to be judgmental sometimes though."

"These should help with the insomnia. I don't suppose you want to talk about? [...] Right, well. No need to be shy. If you need more, feel free to come back as needed."

"SPLASH SPLASH SPLASH SPLASH"

-makes pottery as a side job/hobby
-primarily a shaman
-shaman of what though? hmm
-minor royalty. no one in the clan knows this though, and no one in general know why she's choosing to spend her days in this backwater clan in northern nature territory
