Eigrigg's parents were Hewn City Ruin divers, forever off searching for junk to sell. He never understood their preference for bits of stone and paper. Eigrigg was mostly raised by his older sibling, Grove. And that's where he learned his appreciation for flowers. They tended a small garden together, to attract insects for food. Grove taught him many tricks for growing difficult flowers and Eigrigg learned quite well.

Until the day the five plague dragons showed up on the path and Grove sent him on an errand for seeds. When Eigrigg returned, Grove had a sad look but told him in a resolute voice, "We have a week, there is much to prepare." They packed, as if for a long journey, although Grove did not answer any of Eigrigg's questions. Until the final day....

"It seems like we have gotten too good at cultivating... obscure plants. And those skills are demanded elsewhere. But our friend, Alcor, has a place for us in Wind to grow a new garden. Can you please go with him and get it started? I have to finish things up here and erase our trail."

And so Eigrigg tagged along with Alcor to Clan Flightstone. And is still waiting for Grove to join him, although he knows that Grove took his place for being exalted.
