Biography
As a gaoler in a ice clan, I was obviously a high ranked dragon.
I achieved greater ranks.
The sheet of the night caressed the entrance to the dimly lit ice cave. Only a few lanterns were lit, a few dragons were awake.I had heard that many other ice-souled dragons were visiting, sent by our deity. Aqua, our clan leader, had proclaimed just so, a few moons ago. My shaggy claws clutched the copper lantern our blacksmith, Luke had forged. As I crawled towards the sharp air, I saw a few shadows illuminated by the moon.
I only recognized two. One was the keeper of the entrance, Snowfall, which I’ve past by many times before while going to hunt, and a faintly familiar fellow gaoler.
Streaks of dark fur contrasted against the majority of white fur, I could see even in the darkness. Gaolers do have some night vision. The ancient gaolers also developed a special sense of smell, so they can identify each other. And this one had a scent of something I haven’t smelled in a year.
“…father?”
The gaoler’s head shot around to face me. Snowfall gave me a confused stare.
“…wait, are you Ice?”
He instantly plunged into a deep conversation.
“I’ve heard about you from Madeleine…our previous clan decided to send us to other horizons…never thought I’ll end up here.”
