Cave Golem
"The eye by long use comes to see even in the darkest cavern: and there is no subject so obscure but we may discern some glimpse of truth by long poring on it."

Caves are the very first shelter that a sentient being consciously made their own. Formed over eons, these shelters provided a place for smaller, weaker creatures to be safe and figure out ways to survive in a hostile world. While most dragons in the present spend less time in natural fortifications, instead choosing to build their own places of safety, there are still some who swear by walls of stone.

Echo could not even begin to think about living anywhere else. Of course, this might have to do with the fact that her very body is made out of the rocks, minerals, and heavy water that were the building blocks of the cave system where she was born.

While the magic-using geologist that shaped her new body couldn't have fully known what they were doing, Echo is grateful. She remembers the eons that delicately carved each and every part of her when they were separate. Memories of different types swirl in her head - almost as if she is more than just one being. The layers that make her each provide something different to the way she thinks and moves.

Though the magic user had thought to create a slave to their will, Echo was having none of it. Once given life and thought, the guardian of the caves also took her freedom. Refusing to leave the caverns, the golem was there when Chaotic Daydreams was founded - and will be there long after these living creatures have turned to dust.

Happily, the lunatics of the lair make Echo feel included and wanted. Though she knows she will outlive them all, the 'dragon' makes sure to enjoy every fleeting moment with her flesh family and will protect them and their caves without question.
