DELPHINIUM (DEL)- Dark Mage

Relationships:
Verbena, Iris- Mates
Verbena approached Delphinium one day to ask about her magic, and the two quickly bonded over their strained relationships with their families. Their romance was a slow burn due to their closed-off behaviors, but now they are inseparable. Del is the only dragon who can call Verbena "Beebee" without receiving a devastating glare.

As Iris is also a mage, he was one of the first to show Del around the Mystic Garden's community. Though it took him a while to warm up to her unique interests, he made sure to defend her from any judgement from the rest of the clan. At the same time, Del was a comforting presence while Iris sorted out his feelings from his past. One thing led to another, and they ended up mates. Del learned proper parenting techniques through watching Iris interact with Violet and Lotus, and she soon gained the confidence to ask Iris for children of their own.

Violet, Lotus- Stepsons
Del hadn't met Violet and Lotus until they were already adults, so she didn't have an impact on their younger lives. Regardless, the boys appreciate how happy she made Iris after his breakup with Lilac, so the three get along just fine.

Cornflower- Son
The day Cornflower hatched was one of the happiest days of Del's life. She dotes on him at every opportunity, making sure he knows he's loved. Though she can be overbearing at times, Cornflower loves her dearly and makes sure to visit her and Iris often enough so they don't forget about each other.

Moonflower- Daughter
Del felt as if she didn't truly know Moonflower until the latter's adolescent years when she came out. Del fretted over her own mistakes as a mother, often talking over Moonflower and assuming her doting behavior was sufficient as an apology. It took everything in her not to fall back into those behaviors while making amends with her daughter. The two are much closer now, but there are still remnants of secrecy in Moonflower's behavior that Del struggles to accept.

Lily- (Step)Daughter

Hellebore- Apprentice
Del took Hellebore under her wing when she settled into the Garden. She taught him everything she knew about necromancy, though she took care to warn him about the risks. Once Hellebore learned enough to be of some help to Del's personal work, the two found they make excellent work partners. Neither can imagine their career without the other.
