Biography
Djinni loves the desert, and has studied the flora and fauna and usually briefs the warriors who will be battling in the venue on what conditions they will face as she often travels there, but she's not a warrior herself. She has a desert frog named Wyatt that usually travels with her, and has befriended a Harpy named Colt from the region. |
Djinni herded her charges into the dusty desert arena, passing beneath the giant skull from some unknown beast long dead. It's black eye sockets always made her shiver as if the skull judged her and found her lacking. She was more a venue guide and field researcher than a warrior. And Harpy's Roost was a place for up and coming warriors.
"What WAS that thing, Djinni?" Asked one of the new warriors of the lair, Grimmley. It was his first time here.
Djinni raised her chin, no need to feel lacking, she reminded herself. These dragons needed her to understand their opponents and the environment. "The giant skull was found in the desert many years ago, the Harpy's worshiped the beastly thing. They allowed it to be used to mark the entrance to their warrior's ring. They feel it gives them strength in battle."
"Does it?" Grimmley stopped and stared at the thing.
"You will find out soon enough when you face your opponents." Djinni turned away with a small knowing smile. It was just a skull, and her Harpy friend, Colt, once admitted that they really put it up for the intimidation factor. Every warrior brought here was impressed with the thing no matter what species. If they could not handle the eye sockets of a long dead beast, they had no business being a warrior.
She controlled the shiver that ran down her spine and through her tail. Warrior was something she never wanted to be, but did enjoy a good battle, and these warriors needed this training if they were going to help Wind Flight. The call for Kite Warriors was out and she would do her small part to deliver the best warriors she could. Which meant messing with them a bit. Her grin widened further as this new group of Kites walked into the ring to face their first opponents, Stonewatch Harpies all, who bowed to the giant beast skull and gave an ear splitting yell before walking up to the fight line in the circle. Her charges faced them and gave their own whoops of challenge.
The fighting began and Djinni was happy to cheer them on!
