Even as hatchlings, these two sisters were inseparable. They refused to go anywhere without the other and pretty soon their own mother started treating them as one dragon instead of two. Although they aren’t twins, the duo have the ability to telepathically communicate with one another, an ability they claim is a sign of the strength of the bond between them. It seems more likely this gift was bestowed on them by their mother, who grew up alone and had always longed for the company of her own sister.

Either way, the two have become so reliant on their internal communication that they rarely speak out loud, and only offer a mere word or two if they do. Most dragons avoid attempting to converse with them anyway, since the way they stare blankly at anyone who addresses them is a bit unnerving.

Out of the two, Eclipse is the more outgoing one, often initiating actions, while Moon prefers to follow her lead. The sisters are entirely nocturnal, waking as the sun sets, and sleeping during the day in the underground den they share.
