Kraljevski is a compulsive gambler, addicted to the next score. Good thing their poker face and their professional card-tricking is better than their luck. Kral is only here because of Fayina. Fayina values Kral for their ability to bring in income and to assist with the more game-inclined of her victims. While Mateja doesn't care for the kind of people Kral associates with, nor does she like Kral themself, Fayina demanded they be given a place here. And Mateja wants Fayina's skills, so Kral remained. They were important, Fayina emphasized, but in reality it just means Kral is under Fayina's thumb now that Kral's living place is conditional on them being in good graces with her. Isn't that nice for Fayina... and her hoard of treasure. Kral is hesitantly accepting of this arrangement, since any debts they previously held have been wiped away simply by merit of being housed with, quote, "the damn crazy frost-feds." If any collectors with their muscle came calling, well, Mateja doesn't take well to foreign mobs infringing on her sacred territory. Kral's street cred suffers. Their body remains intact. You win some, you lose some. "Of course," Kral said, handing the dice over. "See for yourself. Unweighted, untoyed with. Ready to give either of us the win." "Why do I get the feeling you'll win regardless?" the other dragon grumbled. He rolled the dice over and over, tumbling them around as if to stall time. He frowned as they gave him results across the board; they were perfectly legitimate. Kral looked over at Fayina, silent in the background behind their opponent. She was observing, melting in with the crowd of curious faces clamoring for a view. Slowly, Fayina lifted her hand.
