Biography
“Tsubomiiii,” I whined. “This is getting way too embarrassing! What if a random dragon just flew inside here?” She laughed as she searched for a crown in the jumble of apparel. “I finally get a break from the tea shop and I’m bored. Ah! Who knew this wooly coat was in this pile!” I sighed and watched her try on the coat. “Way too flashy. I wonder if this would look nice on Ocha?” All of a sudden Aspidiske flew inside and I wanted to bury myself under a pile of pampas grass and never come out. “Poor Hachi, put on a lace frill and I’ll never be able to look at him the same way again.” Aspidiske and Tsubomi exchanged looks of amusement and I growled. “Just give me my satchel back you little hippocampus.” She playfully tossed my satchel to Aspidiske and I stumbled on my cape trying to reach it. When Tsubomi realized I was about to tear of the cape, she rushed over with my satchel. “You wouldn’t dare, Shinrin would eliminate me!” she gasped. I unsheathed my claws and smugly grinned. “Looks like the tables have turned.” We both laughed joined in by Aspidiske. This clan isn’t that bad, I hope my sisters can find a place just as wonderful.
Mini story~!
Oh hello there! You must be tired flying here. Shinrin serves some nice tea, you should visit the shop sometime. For now though, before you continue on... would you like to listen to a story? Alright then, you can lay down on the grass, it's quite soft despite how it looks.
"Hachi?" I heard a familiar voice whisper in the dark, Tsubomi. "What on earth are you doing awake so early?" I protested sleepily. I couldn't really see her that clearly but I felt her excitement, and rose from my feet. "I looked around the den, and Shinrin isn't there, where do you think he could be?" She said with curiosity. I yawned and my gaze fell on the spot where Shinrin used to lay. I whispered, "This is when Wrathful, Claire, and Effie go for the moonrise hunt, our bug supply is running low anyways. Maybe they took Shinrin along to teach him how to hunt, an extra hand is always nice." Tsubomi strode out quietly and I followed, careful not to wake Ocha.
Rain. It hung to my scales and was quite uncomfortable but I really didn't mind that much, it cleared my mind. Tsubomi exclaimed how we could fly over to the training fields and get tons and tons of food to bring back. It was quite ridiculous as the amount of food Wrathful's team could gather would be tenfold but I followed without a complaint. The rain was starting to slow as we bumped into two chipskinks. I saw Tsubomi approach it hesitantly. They would drop some tasty silverfish that could satisfy a dragon for a while, I mused. Then the bluelight chipskink jumped at me. It was so sudden I didn't have time to dodge, scratch I remembered. Wrathful only taught us the basic moves like scratch and shred, maybe that's what the chipskinks taught each other too. It hurt but it didn't stop there, the other scratched Tsubomi twice and it came at me again, but this time I was ready and ducked. I gazed at Tsubomi, her determination broken by fear. Angrily I came at the chipskink and gave it a nice long cut on its shoulder, Tsubomi batted it making it fade, leaving behind the silverfish we came here for. The bluelight chipskink swished it's tail and came for another scratch, I winced... we didn't bring any health potions. Tsubomi went for another scratch at it but the chipskink dodged with ease. I gained enough breath to do a shred, and aimed for it's back finishing it off with bleed. "Tsubomi!" I shouted over the rain, which was now pouring harder than before. "Are you alright?" She carried the silverfish over and nodded but instead of triumph, she looked at me with fear. "You're barely standing, how will we get back? We can't continue if only two chipskinks can almost take us out." I rushed to her to help carry the silverfish but she nudged me away. "Let's hope you have enough energy to fly alone, I can carry the loot." We were about to go when we heard voices. "You're learning well Shinrin!" We froze, it was clearly the voice of Wrathfull, and we knew that if they found us here, we'd be in big trouble. "Hachi, we can't hide... it's the open fields." Claire turned to us and sighed, Shinrin's gaze following. They looked at us with horror and we ducked down. Claire strode over with a few major healing potions as Shinrin lectured us until sunrise, it was not the best day.
