Esell is the baby of her nest. Her name was actually supposed to be Estell (dragon spelling of Estelle) but the dragon reporting names that day, forgot the T. When the mistake was realized, her parents were asked if they'd like to buy a name change scroll, they were not happy. After all, it wasn't their mistake. However, by this time, she had started showing a strong interest in art, so her parents decided it was kizmit and kept her name as is, pronouncing it 'Easel' like an artist's easel.
Esell's parent's adored and babied her. Anything she wanted, she got. Spoiled but giving, clan mates would say. She created art for all of her best friends in the clan. Most of this art was wood burned etchings. However, her passion was in her ash paintings, but she wanted more color. The monochromatic art was amazing for the materials available to her, yet she yearned for more which her parents could not provide her. So, when she heard about the winter, decorate the behemoth, ball at the falls, she knew she had to go and find a new clan in which she could spread her artistic wings. Her parents, ever protective, agreed to let her go as long as she took some protection with her. Reluctantly, she agreed to take along their most powerful flamescale venomcaster. And, so, she and her bodyguard headed to the falls. It was a bit of a trip and they learned much about each other along the way. As they neared their destination, Esell realized that all she had brought for an icy winter ball, might look out of place, so she stopped by an Earth clan's market and purchased an entirely different outfit, in which, to attend the ball in. She chose blues to represent the hues of the surrounding snow. She adorned her wings in a stained glass accent because of how it reflected the light into rainbow prisms. After all, she had made this trip in the search for mor color, it seemed only fitting. With her ball attire complete, Esell and, her now friend, the bodyguard, made the final jaunt to the ball... and their future.
