　Lorraine's charming mate and himself a seasoned musician, Alsace spends most of his days touring across Sornieth. He's cultivated a near celebrity status among some circles but doesn't really act the part; he still has remained as humble and grateful as ever. His voice is sonorous and strong when he sings but soft and quiet when he speaks.

Alsace makes for pleasant company but tends to remain guarded about his personal life except for around his closest friends. But even then, few know about his lifelong struggle with mental illness and how he lost his younger brother, Yakov in an event he still blames himself for. Alsace has chronic depression. To some degree it comes and goes and he's learned to cope with it as best he can. Most don't see him and his melancholy (as he does not like to be outwardly negative). When he slips away for a few days (or weeks) at a time with Lorraine and a well-written apology his illness is generally the culprit.

Fortunately, his mate is understanding and the two work through it-- turning pain into beauty through their music as best they can.
