Rigel

A smart and strong girl.
She's very practical (someone has to be when Shimmer is around) and tends to be brutally frank when she speaks. However, she's soft at heart and has the spirit of a mother hen.
She's usually very busy during the day, but she loves the night. Stargazing makes her feel at peace, especially when there's a pink noodly boy to cuddle with.

She was born in the Sunbeam Ruins, but showed no propensity for the traditional occupations of the Light realm. She was too energetic and didn't have enough patience for studying or philosophising. She wanted to explore, explore, explore! But the landscape of her home domain had either already been thoroughly examined or forbidden to her (so many times she had to be physically dragged away from the the Hewn City...). In the end she decided that it wasn't for her and left in search of a new home.
While traversing the Tangled Wood she found another young spiral in dire need of help and, unable to help her protective instict, she decided to stick with him to prevent any further accidents (wise decision, as she quickly lost count of how many times she had to stop him from falling into pitfalls or tying himself into knots, either from anxiety or excitement). Their journey brought them to the Starfall Isles, where Rigel was completely mesmerised by the Starwood Strand. The land turned out to be odd enough to quench even Shimmer's thirst for novelty, and so they settled.
