 Diamantbacke, like many Snappers, is a book of lore... at least when it comes to rocks. Stuck in the Starwood Strand and unable to follow the migratory routes he has followed for many years, he’s resigned himself to live out the rest of his days here. While his talents as a geologist and mineral prospector are valued, acting as a mentor to Pearlstone as well as helping find the materials their blacksmiths and metalworkers need to make things, Diamantbacke doesn’t have much talents elsewhere. Instead, he has become something of a warrior for the clan. His gentle nature makes him not only perfect for training the dragons that will one day be exalted to the arcanist (the only way to free yourself totally from the pull of the Clan and the Strand,) but also causes his opponents to underestimate him. He can draw his enemies in, and easily crush them. After all, Demons Run when a Good Man goes to War...

He adores his only daughter, Peakiri, and can frequently be seen with her.
