A serpent catches you peering out behind a stack of books on his desk. He blinks as he observes you through thick glasses. Behind him stands a ticking monolithic wall of clockwork curiosities.
“When-- how'd you find me this time?” He asks, dropping a stack of papers and craning towards you scrutinizingly.
Meanwhile, you wondered how he could balance those spectacles on his short nose.
"--Forgive me, I thought you were someone else." He sounds a little concerned-- or maybe just a bit congested.
"You haven't seen a snapper, have you?"
His short arms parted in an amicable gesture.
“Marvelous. You're not much of a talker. I like that." The serpent remarked.
"I'm Lambdon, by the way." The glint of his spectacles cast your reflection back at yourself.
"I'll go heat us some tea.”

Astute as he is hermetic, Lambton is a philosopher with a knack for writing down spells in odd places. For whatever reason he rarely talks about his misadventures with the snapper, Squonk.
