Biography

Before arriving at Cosmos, Bruine spent her time working as a mercenary. She gained quite the reputation for her quick wit, navigation skills, and talent in the heat of battle, and became somewhat of a legend within her field. However as she grew older, Bruine found herself tiring of her nomad lifestyle and the brutality that comes with being a sellsword. Life as a mercenary hadn't given her ample opportunity to make truly meaningful connections, and with no familial ties or genuine friendships, she found herself at a loss of what to do next. She began travelling across Sornieth again, this time doing odd jobs and staying briefly with different clans while trying to find what new life might suit her. One day, while hunting for game within the Starwood Strand, Bruine found herself standing at the grand and mossy stone gates of a clan deftly tucked away within the foliage. Although it could have seemed abandoned from the outside, she found that inside the village walls, there was the hum of life bustling within. While venturing through the cobbled streets of the clan she would later come to know as Cosmos Crypta, she ran into a friendly Spiral named Bartholomew. They began chatting and when the Spiral learned of Bruine's prowess as a mercenary coupled with her keen sense of direction, he became very excited! He informed her that Cosmos had long been looking for someone who could act as the guard and guide of Cosmos, and help lost travelers find there way to and from Cosmos, as the clan often found lost dragons turned around within the Strand. Bruine readily accepted the position, figuring it would be as good a temporary job as any other. However as she spent more time with the clan, she found herself falling in love with the village and its people and decided to make Cosmos her home, as long as it would keep her.
