Welford

Welford and his brothers started off life somewhat rough, booted from their old home and drifting off into the world. Sailing the waterways on a small raft of logs and feasting on whatever they could come across, they had survived on their own quite fine but got bored easily. One day the eldest of them started singing, didn't take too long and the others joined in. The three were naturals, singing shanties like they knew them by heart! They then decided that when times got slow or boring a song would be their cure to get them cheered up. Eventually they got swept up by large waves, climbing the mountain that their small tattered raft was now stuck on. They climbed and climbed, helping each other along the way up until they got to a ledge. Rain was pouring down and they were cold and hungry, yet they still kept to their ways. As they curled together huddled up for warmth, they started to sing. Though they were small they're voices carried across the winds and into the cave behind them. Many dragons came out, curious of where the song was coming from. The elder snapper of the cave sat down quietly and bobbed his head along with the young ones as they sang a shanty in the rain. When they stopped they almost jumped out of their scales, the snapper had chuckled and shook his head. "Never thought I'd hear such songs from young dragons like you lot, how about you come inside so you don't freeze your wings off." His words made them freeze, their jaws dropping. They ran over with wide smiles and leaped onto the older dragon's back. With a grunt and a chuckle he carried all three into the cave, many amused and smiling dragons walking along with them.

Walking into the den with his brothers, they smiled as the elder snapper watched from a seat at a table. Three gifts sat on top, each with a name written on it. Welford walks up and grabs the gift with his name, opening it he finds a Teardrop Lapis Armlet within. The snapper, an elder named Geode, tells them of an enchantment placed on the lapis. One that allows them to live without a fear of death, an enchantment that allows them to slow growth to a point of immortality. After putting on the armlet, Welford walked over and hugged Geode. Thanking him for the gift and for giving them a second chance.
