Acheron

Acheron was once a a pale, sickly Banescale who wished to travel the world. With the help of a mysterious swamp-loving Gaoler, Periboea, he saw many sights his pathetic wings would never have carried him to. The pair became fast friends, however, despite the fresh air and food Acheron was still deteriorating. Periboea claimed to know a group in Shadow territory that would be able to cure him. The gallop began, and all of the Sornieth landmarks he'd seen up till then sped past.

Upon arrival at the dankest part of the Tangled Wood he had ever seen, Periboea was greeted by welcoming words, but Acheron was puzzled by the fact that she was referred to by the wrong name...

They were still travelling at a quick pace but had been slowed considerably by the living maze which somehow utterly obscured all sunlight and combined with barely even a single bio-luminescent fungus to light the way, he was in awe she knew where she was going, especially for a dragon of the wind flight. He could feel watching eyes all the way...

When Acheron returned out of that labyrinth he had changed, not just into a healthy Veilspun dragon, but one that was praised by every one of those mysterious, watching sets of eyes; an explosion of love and adoration he had seen them share with Periboea - or rather Scylla - previously...

In recent times, he can be found alongside a Guardian named Solarae, a self-assigned leader in dominance for Shadow flight, specifically one part of the Light and Shadow border, where she and her group have claimed a large sector of territory through violent means. Considering the recent climate being in favour of more exaltation of dragons, rather than use of force, Solarae's critics claim she will only unbalance the hold both flights have of the area and weaken all of dragonkind with her attitude. Acheron and Periboea, along with a select few others, know this has always been her aim; to sow weakness and distrust in order to strengthen a forgotten force, the Shade.
