Zakuro Clan Heir Sweet | Unassuming | Sneaky Zakuro was found as an egg by Anahira, who as someone with a history of impulsive decisions pretty much immediately decided to adopt the unclaimed hatchling as her own. As such, Zakuro has no idea where he came from or who his biological parents are. But he's never doubted that he belongs with his clan, as Anahira has made it abundantly clear that anyone who can't accept her son is not welcome anywhere near her or hers. Because he is Anahira's firstborn son, he is often treated somewhat as the 'baby' of the clan regardless of actual ages. Zakuro abuses the everloving heck out of this, as he is often placed above reproach and never accused of anything lest someone wish to risk Anahira's wrath. Anahira, on the other hand, thinks it's hilarious when Zakuro uses his position for evil and allows it. As such, Zakuro gets away with so much more than any other clan member, much to Cygnus's jealousy. For the most part, Zakuro is perfectly content to fly under the radar. He loves his strange and eclectic family, even if he does like to occasionally tease them. |

Zakuro has never felt lacking for having grown up under Anahira's wing. While she might not be the most responsible dragon, Zakuro always felt utterly loved and adored. He is aware that he isn't Anahira's biological son and that he's adopted, but he's never felt any less her son for it. She has always made time for him and taken an interest in his interests, interrupting the formation of an entire clan to cater to a hatchling's need for attention. Zakuro loves her with all his heart. |
 Friend | Cygnus might just hold the position of Zakuro's best friend. Cygnus is very protective of Zakuro, but equally willing to gently bully him the way siblings do. Zakuro very much considers Cygnus to be an adopted big brother of sorts, which includes the occasional purposeful getting Cygnus in trouble or framing him. Honestly Zakuro thinks it's hilarious when Cygnus freaks out but tries to do it infrequently - he doesn't want to give his friend a heart attack after all. |
 Mentor | Alphyn joined the clan partially because of Zakuro. He needed a magic teacher as Anahira is many things, but skilled in magic is not one of them. As such, Alphyn took over that role in Zakuro's life. He considers her to be an extra parent or a very close aunt - regardless she is family. She treats him with far less aloofness and more fondness than any other member of the clan, that's for sure. She has a not-so-secret soft spot for the young chimerical jackdaw to say the least. |
