Filagree

Filagree was the "First Born" of the Gemspine clan, and a surprise to be sure. She was a larger chunk of crystal that broke off one of the veins that was found near Diamondback's nest. When this chunk was discovered Finkeus, the crystal bent and twisted to match his form, and to his shock started speaking to him. After much discussion and many meetings with Etuzal and Diamondback, they decided to give her a name, Filagree, to match her lovely bright pattern.

Filagree was "birthed" from the same gem vein as both Topan and BananaPudding, and these three make up the original "children" of Diamondback and Goldeye. Filagree, being the oldest, spoke up loudly and often. Topan, the middle child, rarely spoke, preferring action to words. And BananaPudding, the youngest, made her own method of speaking, weaving magic where words could not express.

Filagree's natural charisma and innate wanderlust drove her from the mine quickly, and to the great concern of Etuzal and Finkeus, out to other lands. After returning with a small collection of nick-nacks, they decided to train her in trade and set her out into the world. Filagree now travels around from group to group, offering up gems and metals from the mine for whatever she deems to be worth a trade.
