So how does this work?
For the eliminate version, there is a caster which buffs your physical fighter, and helps them finish off enemies. For the concentrate version, there is a physical fighter who buffs your mage, the two of them working together to kill enemies. There are two main issues with this setup: One, your mage has to spend breath to deal damage. Two, since your mage is the heavy hitter and contuser, you will have to choose between dealing damage and healing your trainers, and choosing poorly can force a restart. Oh, and did I mention that there's pretty much no flexibility in what elements your trainers are? Wonderful.
This build uses a Water fighter and a Nature mage. You might be able to swap those two around if you absolutely have to, but I would not recommend it; Envenom is much better than Drown since it has a chance to inflict poison.
This setup makes it so your trainers can two-shot 7 out of 16 regular enemies by using Scratch + Envenom; after making use of Concentration to get our mage's INT high enough. And unlike Rally, Concentration is dirt cheap.
Elemental Strengths and Weaknesses
Offensively, Nature is by far the best element for this venue. Only three enemies resist Envenom, and all of them are mages:
Frogspawn Flyer- The lowest priority enemy in any monster pack.
Everburn Tangle- Your figher can use Wave Slash to two-shot it.
Fear Frog- Can't touch you while Reflect is up.
