Button is by no means a people-person. Her gut tells her that anyone that looks at her is out to get her. On many occasions, she can't be found around the clan because she has convinced herself that her clanmates have summoned an act of god to harm her that day. Close to none of the other clan members can say they feel particularly strongly about Button.

In inclimate weather, she hides herself amongst the clan's hoard, leading to her being known as the "Hoard's Harpy" by Custer and his circle.

Her pattern of running away semi-regularly led her to meet up with Piper, who inhabits remote areas near the clan's outskirts. They now spend their days together, watching the waves.
