Mattock Formerly named Genera Woodward "Nature finds a way." Outpost Resident  Stoic and loyal, Mattock has retained many of the characteristics of the guardian form he used to take. Chiefly among them, his charge continues to take the form of plantlife, in specific the tiny copses that pepper the drifts surrounding the Outpost. Wood in the wastes is hard to come by, at least, inanimate wood that won't attempt to escape at some future date. Importing and caring for species from lands outside of the wastelands is a tricksy business, they have little to protect them from the diseases and animals of the plaguelands. Genera must be in his guard against the slow creeping threat of animate vines, voracious molds and fungi, and even the occasional hungry mirror pack. What, you thought mirrors couldn't eat plants? Well, no. But they'll certainly TRY. |

==History==
Living from a young age in the marshy glades of water country, Mattock has never found the need to search for a charge. From the moment he cracked his egg and opened his eyes to the world, he saw green foliage stretching out before him in a welcoming expanse. His only wish has been to protect and extend the greenery of the world, often collecting seeds and saplings to carry with him on his travels and gift to the clans he encountered. Carnelian's call to arms has offered him a chance to try his claws at taming parts of the plague wastelands and he is eager to make his mark. ==Relationships== The ground beneath his short, low-bearing trees is covered in spicy-smelling herbs and spices, carefully nurtured by his colleague, Tanith. Mattock has found himself feeling somewhat the same, wanting to spread his wings over his short and spiky partner and give her the peace and serenity he himself feels. If only it were so easy..
