Biography

Uh-oh, looks like this tired little healer wandered a little too far from his home lair ( 549801, StarLink ), and now he's off to see the world! If ever you feel the need to exalt, he'd really appreciate it if you could just return him to the home lair, or to the 'Dragons Off To See The World' thread, here. This is not necessary, but he would be very grateful!

I am of shadow descent! A G2 child of the enigmatic DarkenedSkies and the skillful MirroredFury! My heritage compels me to be a sneaky, yet compassionate, little healer!

Though do excuse if I am a bit...socially awkward or a bit eccentric, I just can't help it! I mean no ill intent, anyway, so it shouldn't be too much of a bother...heh, right?

Gemard is a very tired little boy that has been healing up his parents' Great Army for a while, but now he's become restless for adventure! Despite how much he loves his family, and how he was apart of their second litter, he has still decided he wanted to venture the world and see for himself the great unknown! Be sure to leave a little blurb on what he's done in your lair and if he's helped with his healing skills! Please be sure to have him put on his healing gear, he feels awkward without it. No matter if he stays in your den or goes, he's sure to try his best to be helpful and caring to every dragon around him!

The Farewell.
As I sprinted off into the great unknown, I noticed my parents welcoming a Wanderer with the Gembond affliction to stay with them for a while in Willow's Grove. I had, quite accidentally, bumped into the poor lass, and as such I apologized profusely before being on my way. I am, quite frankly, excited for my new outing, and I'm sure to send a scroll back to my family to tell them about my newfound knowledge as time passes!

"I may not be the best at hunting, or fighting, but deep down I know I can rely on my own wits and remedies to keep myself safe and sound." I say to myself, a sort of motto or reassurance for my anxiety. Too much building up on my nerves, I suppose. "Healing cannot be done by all, but I will make sure that those I can help will be!"

Now, I could've asked my old clan's Cartographer, Sykas, or the Official Explorer and Librarian, Levana, for a map, but where's the fun in that? I'd much rather bumble about until I can find my place on this vast and inviting journey!

May the herbs be plentiful, may my intentions be pure, and may my healing be true!

A Boneyard Village

It was quite a walk but here I am, my first stop on my great adventure! I didn't realize it was even a village for all the bones protruding from the ground but despite the strange appearance most of the dragons here have been incredibly accommodating. I am currently staying with Mx. Coruscent and Miss Cassie in The Pink Rose Tavern. Over the next few days I will be visiting the outskirts, I have heard of dragons there in need of my help and I couldn't miss the opportunity to aid them. I have even offered to visit Lindwurm Academy and teach the children a little about healing.

The children at the academy were lovely, but I couldn't promise them I would meet them again. Maybe one day on my travels, or when I am very old and need healing myself, then one of them may come to my aid. The day after, I headed to the outskirts. As many as there were terrifying dragons, there was some most unique and magical. My guide warned me not to stray too far from the path, as, although beautiful, some of these dragons were vicious. Despite what I was told, when I met Viktor he was shy and timid, an old soul who barely spoke a word. I was saddened to see his left wing drape across the floor but also eager to help the first dragon away from my home. Healing a dragon in a small forest lab is certainly a lot different from healing the army. Those who watched me, watched in awe as I worked and Viktor and his partner were most grateful.

Thankfully I am in the tavern again, warming up and sipping one of Miss Cassie's rose teas. As lovely a time as I have had here, I am looking forward to moving onto my next adventure!

Damp

With every step I took on my journey the landscape became lusher and grander and the climate milder and warmer. I couldn't believe my eyes the first time I spotted the sea, glittering on the horizon. It was so... so blue!

Seeking the shore I found myself encountering a small settlement of sorts. A bright young obelisk named Wellspring introduced me to her clan and the joys of the tidal pools. One could argue that she perhaps spent a bit too much time relaxing in them when she was actually supposed to help the others out.

Now it's been a couple of weeks, I never tire of the endless cerulean mirror that on calm days appears to blend into the sky. I met another healer here as well! He's quite adept at his job and there was much to learn from him! Safe to say I have grown as a dragon (he's now lvl 5 and knows aid :3). But ugh! As much as I love it here I just can't stand the food, all they have is seafood. I think it best I move on, for the sake of exploring... and my own stomach.

A welcome at Moonrun’s Lair

My explorations of the Everbloom Gardens began with a game of tag. A peaceful walk was abruptly interrupted by three dragons bursting through a tangle of willows. The first was a green and yellow colored streak: a grinning Spiral. She was closely followed by a pair of nocturnes; one red and brown, the other somewhat silvery looking. One went up while calling out loudly “No fair going through places too small for us!”. The other darted right into a big lavender and green shrubbery, leaving an explosion of tiny petals and swirling leaves in their wake.

As the first dragon circled around to wave to, and easily avoid the Nocturne who had gone up, she failed to keep track of the second one who had apparently circled around, and now arrowed up out of a patch of waving grasses. Maybe she had seen the nocturne, because for all the nocturne’s efforts, they were not nearly close enough to tough the swift Spiral. All three then noticed me.

“Hello, and welcome!” So they were together – or at least friends.

At that point the bushes parted again and out came a golden and brown Tundra, easily a third larger than any Tundra I’d ever seen. Riding on her back was a short tailed leopard spotted feline. “Mamma Moonrun!” Called all three youngsters.

Moonrun greeted each of them with a headbump. I also saw that each of the three were wearing pairs of roundhorns, but I didn’t really think anything of it. She turned to me. After a long sniff (I’m not sure but I think she was smelling me). She said “You smell like you will belong for a while.” Then she headbumped me.

As I went flying across the glade, I realized just why the smaller dragons were wearing the roundhorns.

Then I landed; or sort of was caught by a gentle, but very large deep green wing.
I looked up. A very large Guardian smiled down at me. “You look hungry.” His voice was low enough to make nearby leaves vibrate. “Join us for a meal.”

I joined them for more than a meal. Ossia, the clan battlemaster, helped me to hone my skills a bit more in the Coli. Most of the clan members spend at least a little time there, and even though I'm relatively new in my healing skills, many of them requested that I join them on a run.

MoonShadow, one of the clan alchemists insisted on making me a pair of roundhorns so that the headbump greetings that seemed to be common in this clan were a little less likely to send me flying. "I chose crimson." He told me. "Because I wanted something that would match well with your healing garb."
