Bharal was born in Hellreek's halls. Despite her and her sister being a product of a one night fling, both their parents loved both of them. Bharal was sweet, and caring, and was encouraged to apprentice under Risk. She wasn't magically inclined, and so settled for wrapping wounds with fresh gauze and sitting next to the nervous ones, sometimes all day and night as they healed. She was content. She loved her job, and her family, as big and rowdy as it was. Ullr was much younger than her, but they hit it off when he came in to get an arrow removed from his shoulder. They didn't love each other in the way lovers did, but enough to have children together. Bharal's grandmother, Gutch, thought it was about time her blood crossed with Akeelah's, and thus three eggs were born, healthy and putrid green. And that's where it all fell apart. Dajoji was the first to hatch, black, against the odds. Both parents loved him on sight. But there was something not right about the way he looked at his sisters. They thought nothing of it, first child jealousy. But the runt hatched, and he ate her right in font of them. They separated him from his other sister, but the sight haunted Bharal. She couldn't look at her own son, felt dread and hatred every time his eyes looked at her. Risk changed him into a Mirror, so the impulses wouldn't overwhelm him. Bharal found it hard to stay in the lair. She traded in her bandages for armor, her needle and thread for the ax. Becoming a mercenary was easy, easier than she thought it would be. They look at her, but say nothing of the nurse turned savage. Nootaikok grew, not knowing her brother. She trained, and went to serve the Plaguebringer with honor. Or she would have, had her brother not hunted her down and ate her as well. News got to Bharal, and she spun further down. She began to drink, spent less and less time in the lair. She had visions of her son consuming everyone but her, laughing into the empty halls with blood on her face. She went to Risk and told him to make sure she never had children again. When Dajoji finally, after many years, killed and ate his father, he was put under lair arrest, and Bharal went to the Burrick and never came home. She slept under the tables. She doesn't even know she has grandchildren. She doesn't know what happened to most of them. |

Since the birth and unfortunately, death of her children, Bharal's mental health has plummeted severely. She suffers heavily from depression, which she tries to self medicate for with alcohol, as well as rather bad PTSD which leads to hallucinations, leaving her paranoid. It is probably inadvisable for her to work, but she seems to be using it to cope. She is supposed to see me twice a week, but has missed most of her appointments.
