Bismuth

Bismuth was born while his parents were on vacation in Nature lands. As they didn't make it back home in time, his deep emerald eyes never matched their bright light. He didn't know it then, but green eyes would fit right in when he found his eventual home.


Returning to the Hewn City of the Light with his parents, Bismuth lived briefly in a rather odd sort of place. Within the realm of Light no shadowed area should exist and yet in these haunted ruins persists shade even the Lightbringer cannot brighten.


He was then adopted out to the Wind clan ...

Bismuth enjoys almost every holiday but returning to Light's lands for Brightshine Jubilee is important to him. His parents together are now part of the Lightning clan, but they raised him in the Hewn City of Light. Brightshine Jubilee has become a time of reunion when Bismuth, his parents, and as many of his siblings as possible return for the festival. His maternal grandparents Guilford and Nubiti are always overjoyed to see them. His Grandpa Gil, while kind and sweet, has always been a bit of enigma, spending most of his time watching the night sky. While Bismuth was growing up, he would share with him his most recent readings of the celestial bodies. Now every year when he returns, Bismuth hears stories of any minor prophecies the stars have shared with his Grandpa Gil over the past year. His grandmother, Nana Nubiti, has always been his favorite. While others may see her as vain, Bismuth glows when she praises him and the other members of the family who are as shiny and pretty as her. He enjoys shopping for silks with her, as she always has the best fashion taste. Every now and then he catches a brief glimpse of darkness in her bright eyes, but it's always gone so fast he isn't sure he imagined it. He suspects there is more to his Nana than meets the eyes and is curious to know more, but he would never be so rude as to ask. After catching up with his parents and siblings and savoring the nostalgic tastes of his favorite childhood treats, Bismuth leaves the festival not only feeling physically refreshed from soaking in the bright light but alsio rejuvenated in soul and spirit from the much needed family time .
