Due to her own struggles with the magical effects of primacy, Rae was impassioned to adopt hatchlings from across Sornieth who struggle with the challenges of their own high endowment of magic. She took on work at the guild to provide for her eleven youngsters (as well as any others that might find their way to her). Her position as a satellite worker means that she most often spends time at home with them. She meets clients at her home in the Public Sector.

Nanai is a fellow guildmember (advertising & social enterprises member, formerly head of department) and one of Rae's lifelong friends. This older mith is a gobetween who helps bring messages from Rae's satellite "office" to the guildhall for processing. She helps out with the hatchlings whenever Rae meets with clients--can't have curious little creatures peeking their heads in on important meetings, after all! The two live in neighboring homes in the Public Sector.

She stepped down from being the head of the department when her eyesight began to worsen.
