Winterheart

Bookkeeper, organizer, and accountant of the Clan, shy, nerdy Winterheart is the last of the active Bannerbearers.
Winterheart was rescued by Abyra, Sine, and Flood Warning as a hatchling, from a lonely island upon which he'd stranded himself by accident. At first, he was simply a dark gray child, but over time, the icy rings that grace his skin now grew over him, leading to a legend among non-permanent Clan members that he has a disease that is doomed to kill him one day.

Title
A noble, haughty hatchling, Winterheart earned the nickname "Prince" as a joke, and the "silver" came from the color of his scales and fur. Eventually, as he grew and matured, the "Prince" label stuck, this time being used as an honorific.

Personality
Winterheart doesn't have an extroverted bone in his body, and when work gets dense (as it often can -- Clan Zaldrize is a mess), he can often spend days curled up in his nest with his pens and his books and forget to speak, or even eat sometimes. Some (younger Clan members, usually) see him as eccentric. Some see him as a workaholic. Some see him as an awkward nerd. He is, in fact, all three of those things.

Relationships
Abyra
The Queen of Sunset Skies was one of the ones who found Winterheart, and as the leader of the three-person Clan Zaldrize, she was the one who formally adopted him. The two have a close bond, as they both take over the responsibility of clan bookkeeper when the time calls for it, and spend copious amounts of time fussing (and commiserating) over numbers.

Sine
The true older sister of Winterheart, Sine is one of Winterheart's closest friends. Members of Clan Zaldrize do not take permanent mates, and Sine and Winterheart have fathered one notable Clan child together -- the Skydancer known as Summermoon, the local rebel of the Clan's knights.
