"Big Eyes" was a nickname given to Topaz at a young age, not on account of the beautiful peacock feather markings upon her wings, but rather because of her huge, ruby eyes that peeked into her father's workshop everyday.

Afterall, her father was a famous inventor, well renowned in all of the Wastelands. In fact, he was well known for making prosthetics. He could make mechanical wings that could discretely fold up and tuck behind someone's back, before unfurling to its full wingspan, the metallic gold catching the sunlight. He could make prosthetic legs that appear to be bulky, but with a little magic and technology, the limb was strong as steel, and yet light and agile. He even made a set of golden bracelets for her, a one time use shield that would activate when it senses hostile projectiles within a certain range. Not only did she admire her father's ingenuity, she admired his dedication to helping others.

Topaz never had a knack for studies, but kept up brilliantly with her father in the workshop, serving as his little assistant from a young age. While she never managed to grasp the simplest of plague arts, she provided an asset to the workshop. However, while she enjoyed tinkering, She craved something more than the mundane of the brick workshop walls at home.

Topaz travelled Sornieth, eventually reaching the ruins of Kalendia. While she still wanted to see what the rest of the world had to offer, she saw that the small Clan needed resources and technology that she would easily be able to provide, if given enough time to do so. As such, she would happily settle in at Kalendia, serving as the Chief Engineer.

With her expertise, Topaz is almost always trusted with most mechanically related tasks in the Clan. In addition to that, she has a knack for befriending hatchlings, and is also the go to babysitter for mothers seeking help in Clan Evel.
