“...Seems they have similarities to Angler fish… very odd. Oh Gods- I keep forgetting I’m recording. Ahem. Lure drones. Probably around 2 years ago these didn’t even exist. It looks to be a weird mutation that ended up getting incorporated into the gene pool somehow. Lure drones look very similar to a normal drone, but have a strange, luminous tail.”

“Lure drones use this glowing tail of theirs to attract prey, be it dragon or other, to them. As soon as they get close, they attack, either stealing their victims away to the hive, or using them as food. While they are useful, their tails can be a hindrance, as they emit a constant glow that most cannot shut off. Some Consciousnesses will preemptively chop the tails off of hatchlings with this trait. However, in MI-LURE25, (The hive assigned name of this drone.) this was not the case.”
