Brightshadow

Brightshadow... is not the clan's Shadow Ambassador. Brightshadow is not a clan scholar. The non-spirals of the clan are not quite understanding enough of spirals to give a leadership position to Brightshadow. So Brightshadow lives under the ice in a cave shared with Nameless (the clan's other spiral) and the clan's shadow sprite... and somehow, the three of them manage to contribute to the clan's hoard.

Occasionally this is sensible; Brightshadow has been known to contribute to digging endeavors. Often this is not; a substantial wealth of miscellaneous fungible goods has been retrieved from, as far as the clan can tell, arcane rips in the nearest ley line. They've built a portal, and won't let anyone else touch it; it's just large enough for a spiral to get through. Brightshadow says it goes "somewhere strange", and recommends that if the rest of the clan is very curious, they should take a numismatist's interest in the coinages that Brightshadow brings back.

During the polar winters, Brightshadow is much more often seen aboveground, and is something of a clingcoils on the rest of the clan. Proposals to give him the clan's strangler as a familiar have been rejected by the shadow sprite, whose word on this is considered final. She is the clan's Shadow Ambassador.
