Kaval is initially measured by others by her beauty, but it causes them overlook her natural skill in magic and tricks. Vexed by such perceptions, she practiced her craft in secret and vowed she would finally be seen for her skills instead of her appearance. When the Spiral brothers, Vaudeville and Nadaswaram, flirted with her, they were met by a feat of magic that left them in disbelief. Eager to learn how she was able to achieve such a spell, they kept asking her to reveal her secret. Kaval refused.

When Kazoo and Galoppade heard word of a skilled magician, they approached Kaval and invited her to join their troupe. Kaval said she would only if she could use her skills of magic in the show, and they agreed. Now, she joins the ranks of the Spiral brothers, always being one step ahead of them and never revealing her secrets behind her feats of magic…at least until she finds an even greater trick that surpasses their skills. She enjoys how they look up to her skills more than her beauty, but the Veilspun still flirts with them to keep them on their toes.

October 2022

A caravan door opened slowly, an almost sinister creak indicating its movement. Where you expect a dragon, there is instead a large, purple hat in the center of the doorway, streams of magic spilling from its open mouth. Suddenly, the form of a Veilspun pulls itself out.

"Greetings, visitor," she smiled warmly, "So treats you seek? Let's see what we have to give you..."

She rummages in the hat for a moment, and draws her claws back to reveal special items that she deposits before the haunting obelisk.

"Hopefully they are up to your...expectations. May your travels be fruitful as you continue trick-or-treating this season."

And after taking a bow, her form dissipated into smoke and returned into the hat, door slamming shut on its own.
