I'll put this derg on the travel thread once I finish his bio... sike! I won't finish his bio ever, lol.

Uh-oh, looks like this meta-dragon wandered a little too far from his home lair (547158, TruthseekerSky6), and now he's off to see the world! If ever you feel the need to exalt, he'd really appreciate it if you could just return him to the home lair, or to the 'Dragons Off To See The World' thread, here. This is not necessary, but he would be very grateful!

Feel free to breed Transcendence if you wish! I don’t care what you do with the offspring. Exalt them, sell them, give them funny names—it doesn’t matter to me. It would be lovely, however, if you could add on to his experiences if he does choose to have hatchlings. Who did he have a dalliance with? (Gods that sounds so old fashioned...) Why? How did Transcendence feel about the other partner? Etc.

Transcendence would love to return to his den one day. When he feels like coming back, just let the home lair know!

Was Transcendence the only one aware?

Perhaps it was just him, but he felt as if Sornieth was part of something greater... something strange. Something that felt oddly familiar and couldn’t be expressed in draconian. As if... as if it was all just a game of some kind, like a game of chess? No, not chess. More complicated than that.

Everything the dragons did, everything the gods did... there was some sort of puppetmaster. Or maybe there were many puppetmasters. He didn’t know. Sometimes it seemed there were few or even just one, sometimes there were many thousands of puppetmasters talking to each other and coordinating.

And the dragons themselves... some of them were important to the puppetmasters, some weren’t. It was hard to tell anything else apart from that.

Of course, as a hatchling, Traps (as he was called) often watched as dragons grew, fought, and left their lairs to serve their god. And he didn’t know the point of it all. Others tried to explain, but he couldn’t understand them, and they couldn’t understand him.

The relationships, the training, the dragons choosing to leave to be one of the exalted, all of it... it all felt like the thin whimsy of a puppetmaster. All of it was pointless, for nothing even. They would be forgotten, erode away and become the sands of time...

And after Traps grew up, he decided to leave his home lair to search for meaning... and for others like him.
