Riptide isn’t your typical Gaoler. As eggs, he and his siblings pulled a vanishing act that scared their mother half to death as she frantically searched for her missing brood. Luckily, Riptide and his siblings re-appeared hours later… just not in the same place. And unfortunately (at least for his parents), this would not be a one time thing. While he and his siblings enjoyed their random teleportation, their parents were not so keen, mainly because they were the ones who had to track down their missing hatchlings. But Riptide was unfazed. After all, he had been that way since birth. Teleporting was just natural to him. And once he learned to fend for himself and use his senses to gain his bearings, randomly appearing in an unknown location became less dangerous and more of an adventure.
Riptide loved his siblings more than anything else in life, which was another reason their shared power came in handy. Wherever they were in the world, the three siblings would teleport together, always appearing at the same place and same time as one another. As they grew, their teleportation happened less and less frequently, but Riptide knew it would never disappear completely. While some claimed that their power was the result of their hatchdate, Riptide felt deep down that it originated from their love for one another. When it came time for him to leave home and join a clan of his own, Riptide went eagerly, knowing he would see his beloved siblings again soon. Now he just had to find a clan that would accept his strange ability... |
