BlueMoon despises dragons of all kinds, she is her own creature. Once an egg rolled into her home she couldn't stop herself from keeping it, despite having smashed so many before.. she was lonely then. This child grew into something scary, and as the sun rose so had RedSun that carried a contrast life - one he was tired of. Together they stay cooped up in their home, waiting.. Reiyn wrote:
"The cave systems below Sornieth are dangerous. They are dark, twisted, and full of all sorts of creatures. Some dragons have even reported mysterious realms. They report caverns full of glowing mushrooms and sparkling waters. Glowing worms cover the walls and strange dragons play in the tall grass. Colorful trees and even brighter flowers flourish in the sunless environment. The dragons in the caves are said to possess strange powers. They are said to be beautiful beyond measure, fly with more grace than any other dragon, and speak using their minds. Legends say they are immortal, can manipulate lights, and create portals anywhere they want.
But none of that is true. Legends like that aren't real. It's all just rumors. Right? Wrong. The caves in the Starwood Strand are closer to the surface than most of the caves beneath Sornieth. In some places, the caves break through the surface, creating natural skylights. On certain nights, those mythical dragons lay their eggs underneath the skylights so their children may hatch, blessed by the light of the moon. Moon hatched children are great. Full moon hatched children are blessed. Blue moon hatched children are godly, otherworldly, even by mythical standards. The cave was lonely when she hatched. She pushed out of her soft pearlescent egg and blinked at the gentle moonlight. Beautiful, cottony, blue leaves hung over the skylight. Glowing blossoms drifted through and landed on the tiny dragon's snout. She dug her claws into the cold dirt, felt grass tickling against her scales, and felt at home. This strange cave was her home and she knew it. She sat on a tiny island in the middle of a glowing lake. This was home. The hatchling grew up alone, but she didn't mind it. She was nothing like the dragons she saw flying above her cave. Her eyes were purple, for one, and she could hear them. Their minds were open to her and she knew just how different they were. She was graceful and beautiful. She was unlike any dragon in the area. She could read minds and teleport anywhere she wanted. She wasn't like other dragons. And she never wanted to be. As she grew stronger and older, she began to turn the cave into her home. She made herself a woven grass hammock to sleep in, a little wooden dock, and a tiny boat to sail around her lake. She had a garden on her island and plenty of fruit trees. She still never interacted with other dragons. Other. Dragons. She wasn't really a dragon. She didn't know what she was, but she wasn't really a dragon. Slowly but surely, the surface dragons started to notice the secret grove. The cave child had tried to cover the skylight to avoid being noticed, but dragons were disgustingly curious. The smaller ones started coming in and disturbing the peace of her sanctuary. She didn't know how to keep them out. She hid away in the shadows and projected her thoughts to their minds. The terrified dragons fled from her home. More dragons came to visit her and she hated it. She started purposely acting more like a demon to keep others away from her home. She just wanted her home to be safe. She wanted her garden, her dock, and her cave to be undisturbed.
