Eve

It was a dark and stormy Halloween night, a single egg lay nestled between two gravestones, covered with branches and moss. The sky rumbled above, a flash of lightning breaking the darkness and illuminating the graveyard, reflecting off the shiny surface of the egg. The egg twitched, tipping from side to side, before a crack split through the shell, like a widening smile. As the rain began to fall, the wind picked up, and a bolt of lightning flashed again, a loud ‘BOOM!’ following it, the eggshell split in two halves, falling to either side of a small Fae hatchling, her eyes as bright as a lightning bolt, glowing in the darkness, flashing through the raindrops like a searchlight. Nearby, a shriek broke through the night, cutting off abruptly, and the rain, wind, clouds, and storm stopped, blinking out of existence as though it had never happened, a heavy silence blanketing the graveyard. The moon now shined down on the world, and the Fae hatchling shook off the raindrops that had been dragging down her wings and frills. Her body was a patchwork of greens and purples, her wings a purple turning green. Humming quietly to herself, she turned her glowing eyes toward the moon, spread her wings and took to the sky.

Eve was her name. Her powers rivaled those of primal’s and even the deities, and could create powerful illusions at the blink of an eye. But her powers are not limited to just this. She could ‘bend’ shadows to her will, travel from shadow to shadow, and so on. She enjoys trickery, and is hard to catch or even see. Not many people catch a glimpse of her, often just seeing a flash of green and purple, or a strange purple glow from somewhere around them. Some claim to have seen Eve before, saying she had a wicked grin and glowing purple eyes. And when something strange happens to a dragon, such as thinking you see something but you blink and it is gone, a strange glowing door that was never there before, even seeing a completely different landscape around you before flashing black to where you were before, or something similar to this, followed with tinkling laughter that seems to resonate from all around you, Eve comes to mind. She is a shadow, a legend, a myth, something magical and different. When dragons spoke of her, they called her the Eve. Like how many dragons revered mythical creatures and dragons that were formed from legends, Eve was among them, a mystical being that might not even exist.
