Biography

Long ago, Noodle Boi’s father, Spectre, traveled from a faraway ice clan to visit a new clan and bring gifts. He met his mate in this clan and decided to stick around. Noodle Boi was born not long after, growing up with five siblings meant Noodle Boi always had friends to fly and play with. As he and his siblings got older, they all started leaving. Some in service of the gods, some to start a new life at other clans. Noodle Boi stayed behind. His parents were concerned about him. He didn’t have a mate and slept most of the day. The thought of going to serve his god didn’t sit right with him. Honestly, he couldn’t care less what the gods were up to no matter how many times his parents casually brought it up. He wanted to explore, to leave the place he grew up in and maybe even visit a new elemental territory! Fire had always seemed cool to him, the total opposite of the familiar ice grounds he and his ancestors had lived on. The heat messed with his skin though, the one time he tried to sneak a peak. So, fire was out. He tried convincing himself he’d fit in at plague but their hatred made even his supposed “ice cold heart” (as the other elemental dragons liked to claim ice dragons had) fill with terror. No, plague wouldn’t be right either. He went through an entire list in his mind, crossing out almost every element in his head. There were some he liked, light and nature seemed appealing to him, so he flew across the water and started looking for a clan to join. The first two he asked laughed in his face before telling him maybe he should go serve the Icewalden instead. The third one just sighed before gesturing to the overcrowded nests and caves behind them. Noodle Boi returned to his home clan disappointed and started thinking maybe he should go serve the icewalden. I mean, it couldn’t be that bad right? His siblings had gone. The thought of never getting to see any other part of the world made him sad, though. The elements he’d picked didn’t want him. He wasn’t fit for the other elements, and if he’d asked they probably wouldn’t have wanted him either.

Multiple weeks passed. He’d taken on the role of babysitter to be of some use to the clan, but the kids seemed to pick up on his sullen mood so most just avoided him. One bright green spiral caught his attention, eventually.
“Hey mister!” The small spiral tapped his feet on the ground.
Noodle Boi looked up, meeting the spiral’s bright green eyes. Just then it struck him. Wind. He’d forgotten about wind. He hadn’t tried all elements! There was still hope.

He tried everything to prepare. He visited the librarian (she was a weird lady, with her cave full of books) for the first time and read all the books he could find about the wind territory. He spent more time with the baby wind spiral, Ezra, asking him questions about his home that the small spiral was rarely able to answer, having been only two days when he’d moved. Eventually, he finally felt he was ready. Ready to go out and try again.

The first clan he tried said he was welcome, but it didn’t feel right, so he thanked them and said he’d come back if he found nowhere else. The thought that he had a backup if all else failed made him feel confident and like he could take on the world.

The second wind clan he visited was like a dream, it wasn’t that big, but all the dragons were incredibly kind. Tingling with nerves, he eventually asked the clan’s leader if they had a spot for him. The leader smiled and gave him a nudge with their wing.
“Of course!”
That’s when Noodle Boi knew he’d made it. He’d found his home.
