While the deities are worshipped world-wide, there are smaller, less powerful entities who despite being weaker than the deities, are still worshipped by their followers.
Avzer used to be one of them, though you wouldn’t be able to tell now.
Studying diligently under Adagio’s watchful eye, Avzer appears to be the perfect student- soaking up information and advice like a sponge, and being very quick to apply his newfound knowledge, practicing skills until he’s even better than the tundra teaching him.
He’s not quite at the level of the orange-winged tundra, but he’s getting there, and far faster than anyone expected.
He has to, or else he’ll die.
What not many know is that behind the white mask the red dragon wears, is a bloodied maw, permanently stained with the blood of hundreds- if not thousands- of dragons. Some have been sacrificed to him, others he has slain himself- it’s honestly not sure which stain has been caused by who.
Avzer used to be a deity of blood- one who gets called when it needs to be shed. No one knows how many have fallen before him, or how many have fallen in order to summon him. He did not care- he still doesn’t.
However, with times changing and blood sacrifices becoming less and less common, the deity was faced with a rather harsh truth: If he stayed the way he was, he would cease to exist. If he wanted to survive, he’d have to change.
Sadly, for an entity who only has power over blood and how it’s spilled, options are rather limited.
However, Avzer was smart, and realized there were many other uses for blood: Over the years, the entity has seen how blood would change depending on how healthy a person was. It could be used to determine illnesses and other health conditions. When two dragons their blood was similar, it could even be taken from one to save another.
And so, one day, the entity approached Totemclan, having heard rumors of their medicine dragon looking for apprentices. Centuries of time had given Avzer skills and maturity that not many had, and Adagio gladly took the deity under his wing, unaware just who he was bringing into the clan.
...Then again…No one HAS to know what’s below that mask, right?
