Battered Book of Fables Ambiguous Document Scroll Case

Anxious / Knowledge seeking / Easily Distractible
Mate: Peacock

The young dragon stepped into the hallow oak, looking around with curiosity. The inside of the tree is much bigger than it seems from the outside, much bigger than it should be. The walls are lined with shelves of scrolls, artifacts, and the occasional well read and worn book. Colorful floating lanterns give the room a warm glow, and light to read by. Scattered around the center of the room are tables and comfortable chairs and lounges in an assortment of sizes and shapes to make any dragon comfortable who should venture in here. A small dragon dropped down from somewhere in the shelves overhead, pushing brass spectacles up his nose and peering at the other dragon with curiousity.

"Hello! Welcome to the Library, can I help you?" He stretches his wings out to hover in front of the lager dragon. "I am Andromeda, the head librarian and scribe."

"Hello, I am Nymeria. I have become vastly interested in the history of dragons and I've been told you have quite the collection in your... little library." The dark tundra peered out from under his hood, their blue eyes glinting in the lantern light.

"A history of the dragons? Well.." He does a loop in the air and speeds up to some of the higher shelves. "We don't have a complete history of the dragons -those are rare, I think that they have a fairly in depth one at The Observatory? But I haven't been to check it out yet- but we do have some records on the early days of the Nature Flight, mostly written down in more recent decades from legends told to us by word of mouth."

A moment later he returned to drop a small pile of scrolls and tablets on a nearby table. "There are many others of course, these are just scratching the surface, but we're still working on filling out and expanding our library."

Nymeria follows, pushing back their hood to reveal a white muzzle with bone like markings and a dark mane. Settling down on a lounge placed next to the table, they begin to carefully go through the writings, handling the worn paper with care.

Andromedia hovers anxiously nearby, reorgnizing already neat shelves of books while keeping one eye on the strange tundra. There was something.. Odd about this new dragon, though what it was the scribe was hard put to name.

Early night had fallen by the time Nymeria had placed the last scroll back on the table. Andromeda hurred to gather the precious artifacts, giving them a quick skim to be sure no harm had befallen them. "If you want to know more, you should find our Lorekeeper, Iris. She knows most of our legends including many that haven't been written down yet." He told the tundra, "You can often find her near the Nursery Fire at this hour, likely the nestlings have begged her for a story."

"I'll be sure to take time to speak to her." Nymeria told the anxious dragon, hiding a soft chuckle at how the librarian was cradling the delicate scrolls. "Thank you for your help."

Andromeda watched the dragon pull up his hood to once again hide his strange markings, calling out after them as a gust of cold wind blew in after the dragon, "Do come again!"
