Biography
The Moonlit Mourner
Somber | Caring | Gentle
Danerah was a child who was born into love, but had very little in her life. Seduced by a Wildclaw and lead into the Ashfall Waste, she lived her life for him and for the children they raised together. The heat was horrifically extreme for her nature sensibilities, and she struggled with every clutch, but she was in love, and she would do almost anything for him.
Except, unfortunately, all of their children were Skydancers like herself, and although it was never said outright, there was always a quiet disappointment that she never hatched a single Wildclaw like their father. Although unspoken, the disappointment loomed in the air, and eventually, Danerah left behind the life she had, returning to Viridian Labyrinth alone to mourn.
However, it was when she was where alone she met another Skydancer by the name of Fireyes who treated her gently, whos every look, every touch was gentle and full of love, and eventually Danerah found herself falling in love.
When he tried to ask about her clan she froze up, but admitted she did not have a clan, and he tried to take her to his home - The Ashfall Waste, but the heat only reminded her of her previous clan, she felt her fur sizzling, her skin burning, and she begged to leave, weak and tired. Fireyes immediately helped her fly down over the ocean, but she had to take a rest on a small shore.
They were met with several dragons defending their home - only to realise that Danerah was so weak because she was about to lay their first clutch. Fireyes was horrified he made her stay somewhere so awful, but the clan let them stay, and so Fireyes built a makeshift nest on the shore where the sand met the rocky outcrops.
She admitted to the dragons who lived there she knew she was with child, but did not want to scare Fireyes away, though they laughed good naturedly, telling her that she was all he spoke about with such gentle eyes, and full of love. Danerah was so, so relieved.
The leader of the clan - Adair, she called herself - invited them inside, but they declined, both Fireyes and Danerah preferring the constant sun. Adair understood, but even still, she invited them to join their clan under her, as the beach side of the clan - those who preferred the sun, but were still a part of the clan as a whole.
Danerah agreed, touched that the simple act of them existing nearby meant that they had become a part of their clan. They were fed, they were taken care of, and they were protected.
Danerah was full full of regrets for the life she'd previously lived, but she was learning to let go of them, and look forward to her future.
