Before Primary/Secondary Genes, Mimics



Basics:
The one and only master of a diminutive lair, still self titled 'Head Researcher'. A near master of magi-technological genetic manipulation, though still in the process of learning more of the magical skill of 'Flesh Crafting'. This progress is quite a bit slowed down, what with having torn her 'instructor' to pieces.

Personality Post Corruption:
Calculating, Arrogant, Power/Knowledge Hungry, Cruel, Sadistic, Self-serving
Sometimes prone to bouts of being psychotically murderous and obsessive.

Personal Habits/Traits:
Has the tendency to refer to most any being not 'enhanced' as herself as 'it'. As they are obviously inferior things whose most likely use is just spare parts for her creations.
Ex: 'It seems to think it is worth my attention. It had best hope that it is correct.'

Is mostly covered in fur, other then the grey metallic scales, fins and horns. This allows her to move faster then most other Guardians(when not covered in machinery, that is), though at the cost of physical durability. Foot structure more akin to that of a large cats. Her front limbs with the obvious difference of having opposable thumbs and digits capable of manipulating objects.
Science would be far more difficult if you can't even hold tools.

Harming the Warcat initiates BAD END.

Names:
Retroactively referred to herself as Subject Zero after beginning her work on Subject One, no prior designation is recorded. Changed to 'Hope' for a number of years due to the insistence that it would be more productive to interactions with other clans. Returned back to prior designation after the purge.

Charge:
A massive warcat nearly the size of her. A creature she felt such an affinity for, that it triggered her first major, and extremely dangerous, experimentation on her self, so that she could be something genetically similar to him. The only being she has even been seen acting 'kind' towards.
As they are near inseparable, she has almost exclusively gone into battle with him at her side. With the two being matched in strength, it comes to question, which of them exactly is supposed to be the guardian.

Skills:

• An Awakened being, he has gained sapience and has the ability to speak very rough Draconic with a dialect similar to Mirrors.
• Capable of operating simplistic machinery.
• (Guardian related trait?)

Post Corruption's Introduction into the Lair:

While previously she was not exactly on the positive side of moral ambiguity, Hope's research has started delving into extreme places. Long are the nights of research in solitary parts of the lair, where screams of horrific nature echo out. Some clan mates claim that no manner of light can be brought into those areas at some times. All the while however, they feel that they are being watched.

On Clan Names:
Hope as Subject Zero was planning on calling all of her clan numeral designations but Conviction continuously scolded that it would be cruel, and bad for morale, if all the clan was called 'subjects' even though they still are. So she chose 'positive' names to shut him up.

10/26/2014 Edit:
The 'positive' spin on names is deemed no longer a valid concern, and all who oppose the Head Researcher's decisions will be considered an enemy of the clan. Corruption is now considered 'First Assistant to the Head Researcher' and has more say then many older clan members.

03/12/2018 - Lair Purge Initiated:

Corruption's frills quivvered in barely restrained excitment. 'She is doing it! She is finally doing it!' he thought. Long years of careful manipulation was paying off as he heard Hope's laughter intermingled with screams as her metallic servants herded yet another into the deconstruction machine. 'Yes all of them.' he mused, 'All of them need to go ... we have no more use for them.' He was pleased, near humming with pleasure as she strode over to him afterwards, at least, until a massive paw closed about him.

'What?' he was cut off. 'All of them.' she hissed, pulling him up to her face. His crests flattened back as fear gripped his heart for the first time in years. 'All of them, all of them, all of them!' she chanted, faster and faster as she moved towards the machine. He struggled in a panic, but there was no way he would be able to break a Guardian's hold, 'All of them. Not me. All of them, not me. Not me.' fans swirling wildly as his eyes darted around the empty halls, he realized his mistake far far too late.

With all of them gone, there was no one left to raise a claw to help him.

Personal Note: Returned self designation to Zero.
It all comes back down to zero.

[High Security Access File] When first journeying into Lightning she came across another Guardian who wished to join her in setting up her lair. After she has finished her initial genetic experiments on herself, she attempted to both change his genes and breed at the same time, after a horrifying few hours of him screaming in pain and thrashing in uncontrollable mutation he died from his body not being able to take the strain. Officially he was 'Exalted'.
