Adrian is a bit of a mystery to most who meet him. He has no home, no clan, and no past to speak of. A vagabond, he wanders endlessly, exchanging his help to others in return for no more than food and shelter. Once his usefulness has run dry, he quickly leaves the area, never outstaying his welcome.

To those that encounter him, Adrian comes off as gentle and polite, if a bit reserved. He gladly (albeit maybe foolheartedly) puts others' needs above his own and won't hesitate to endanger himself if it means helping someone else. His services have included lair building, to courier escort, to rescue missions and all in between. If a dragon is in need, no matter how trivial the help is, he is always willing to lend a claw.

Being nomadic, it's not often that other dragons get to know him for very long. Below the surface of his sweet, yet aloof veneer lies a more relaxed, jovial dragon. Those that are used to the restrained calmness of the Skydancer might be caught off-guard by a random tease or prank, if they've known him long enough.

Adrian does not talk about his past or why he is wandering, and will smoothly change the subject if asked. When not in a position where he needs to help others, he would rather run than fight if faced with a conflict.

He also has a few odd quirks. Bright sunlight makes him shaky and weak. The sight of blood makes him jittery. He also tends to avoid holy places, and would rather shrug off a wound than let someone heal him. When asked why, he gives various explanations to avoid deeper questioning.

Although he is willing to make friends, deep down he has a problem (or perhaps a fear) of deepening the bonds too closely. While he's open to some light flirting, he makes sure not to cross the line and get too close. But why that is...he has not elaborated so far.

The Dhampir is an unnatural being born from the embrace of a mortal and a vampire. Little is known about how they came to be, as it is commonly known a vampire cannot have children of their own. Some say if the mother is Turned right before she lays her eggs, the unhatched children will be Dhampir. Others say it is a necromantic curse from a powerful elder vampire or dark mage. Whatever the reason, Dhampir are extremely rare and because of this, only a small bit of information is available to scholars.

The mixing of living and undead blood expresses itself in various boons and hindrances. Since the body is alive (as in, all biological features function like a mortal's would), it is a significant strain support the undead blood pumping within it. Thus the Dhampir is very delicate in their constitution, and are even more susceptible to fatigue and toxins than a normal dragon would be. They also carry some of the weakness of a traditional vampire, such as holy artifacts, blessed water, and holy magics and potions. Though not an outright death sentence, prolonged exposure to the sun will easily fatigue and sicken a Dhampir, and the brightness of its rays is even more intense for their eyes, making it hard to see. And finally, though a Dhampir does not need blood to survive, they suffer the same insatiable thirst their progenerators do, and can easily give in to their desires if they do not exhibit enough self control.

There are however a handful of boons this mixture of blood gives. They are in general very alluring, and can easily make friends due to their natural charm. They always have a gracefulness to their stance and gait, even if they do not poise themselves purposefully. Their strength and speed is somewhere between a vampire and a mortal, and gain a bit of regeneration from the intake of blood. Although despite all these boons, a Dhampir facing off against their full-blooded cousins would be little more than a slightly harder fly to swat.

Since they aren't quite a mortal and aren't quite undead, most cultures do not know how how to approach them. The general lack of knowledge about this species often leads to the Dhampir being shunned from society and becoming either a recluse or a nomad. However the lucky few that gain the knowledge of their abilities can learn how to control their urges and can live a reasonably normal life.
