Bea's love of critter companions began at an early age. As a young dragon, she would frequent Baldwin's cauldron and, one day, she was shocked and amazed when a small horned frog leapt out of the concoction. She and Oogie, as she affectionately calls him, have been inseparable ever since, and now they roam the world in search of encountering more creatures to befriend.

Clan of the Black Sun
Upon her arrival in the Scarred Wastelands, Bea came across the Clan of the Black Sun, formerly an Arcane clan that had been driven from their homeland by the Shade. Even in trying times, this clan was very generous to newcomers, and so Bea made it her personal mission to repay their kindness in any way she could.

The great number of familiars owned by the clan amazed Bea; each one was taken care of in a remarkable system that promoted bonding between creatures, beastclans, and dragonkind. This was an opportunity Bea couldn't resist. During her stay with the clan, Bea bonded with the many familiars in the system and even took notes of advice on the care of certain species from clan members.

She became very close with a particular Brightwing Dwarf Hainu named Terrish. The feathery little canine just wouldn't leave her side, and he enjoyed playing with her and her little frog. The dragons of the clan were more than happy to send him off with Bea to take on her journeys, and so, with a bag of treats and research notes, the Pearlcatcher set off once again with her companions.

Clan Kaishal
Far in the distance Bea had noticed a large, singular mountain, and as she departed the Scarred Wasteland she set course towards it next. It was quite a long journey, and she was mildly surprised to find that, as the terrain gained in altitude, it also became covered intermittently by a large bamboo forest. When at last her wings would carry her no further, she set down on a well-worn path and plodded along until she was greeted by a scouting party, who guided her to the local clan quarters.

It was not long before Bea found her way to the familiar sanctuary. The reserve seemed to span almost a whole quarter of the base of the mountain, and all manner of non-dragonoid creatures roamed freely. The sanctuary was headed by a large, gentle Imperial named Ophelia who shared Bea's passion and enthusiasm for familiar keeping. Ophelia quickly took the younger dragon under her wing and allowed Bea to study and interact with creatures she had never even heard of before.

As tempted as she was to stay with the clan, Terrish was getting restless and she knew she had to set out again to see the rest of Sornieth. There was a heartfelt goodbye wherein Ophelia bestowed upon Bea a Python scroll on behalf of the clan, and then she was off once again.

Whisperland Sanctum
Bea, Terrish & Oogie arrived at Whisperland Sanctum on a cool, clear night in November of 2020. They had walked, hopped & flew up the reed-covered cliffs for what seemed like forever and were all very tired when they finally reached their destination. Not wanting to disturb the sleep of any of the clan dwellers, they set up a makeshift shelter on the outskirts and rested through the night.

Upon waking, they packed up their gear and began introducing themselves to the locals. Surprised to find that they did not have a Familiar Sanctuary, she quickly set to work helping the clan establish one. Dahlia, a friendly Bogsneak, was an apt pupil and had an enormous passion for familiars, making her the perfect choice to manage the institution once Bea took her leave. All in all, she had a wonderful time getting to know the clan members and was happily surprised at the unveiling of Bea's Familiar Park which they named after her on the day of her departure.

Faewood Hamlet
Small, was about the only thing she could think to think about this place. Maybe twenty dragons total, and of them, only a few had permanent familiars. She itched to set up a sanctuary here, as well; every clan, no matter how small, ought to have a familiar sanctuary! If for no reason, then how about that familiars were a great way to provide anxious dragons with companionship? She'd seen several different anxious dragons in this place, and considering how small the group was, that was kind of impressive.
"Seems like they could use our help, huh, Oogie?" She whispered, as she got herself a room in the local inn. A low croak, which she took to be a 'yes', was her answer. "Terrish?" Yarp!
That settled it. "Hey, I don't suppose you have need of a. Like, a pet palace, or something like that, here?"

The Innkeeper shook his head, but considered for a second before responding. "No, I don't think so, but maybe you'd like to talk to our farmers about something like that?"

Farming was promising; she agreed, and got the instructions to their local farm. (A bit uh... A bit incomplete, huh? She thought, upon seeing the dilapidated old structures, but she kept that bit to herself.) Leonis was rather friendly, even though she'd shown up out of the blue, just to suggest ways to improve upon his plans for the future- though he probably was friendly about it because she was quick to lend a hand in fixing up the fences around the place.

"The only rule is, you set up a familiar sanctuary as part of this. That's a good idea, right? Like, Familiars are a good thing to farm, some of them, at least. Yeah. There's plenty of creatures that grow food and stuff, or gemstones off their fur, and that's all useful."
Leonis supposed that was right, and Bea grinned- all the more reason to finish patching these fences and then get out of his hair. He's a farmer, and like, he probably can handle even some of the wilder familiar kinds. Totally.

The Clan Without A Name
While traveling through the Windswept Plateau, Terrish suddenly ran off without warning. When Bea finally caught up, she found herself in a clan by the Aergate, a clan that loved familiars as much as she did. The clan had an ongoing quest to find a matching familiar for every dragon resident. Bea was so excited to find someplace that loved familiars as much as she did, she was honored to have the privilege to match familiars with some of the dragons living in the clan. Alas, her wanderlust to continue her journey to befriend all the familiars in Sornieth meant she couldn't stay. Bea, Terrish, and Oogie were sent off with well wishes and plenty of food for their travels.

/Crow Callers
Bea stopped by Crow Callers - a bustling, diverse clan in the Scarred Wasteland and very close to the Tangled Wood. She found herself making several friends, one of which was Hunter, a Gaoler who shared her enthusiasm for familiars and other small animals.

Unfortunately, Bea realized one day that Terrish had gone missing. However, Hunter was willing to help Bea find him - he was once a Seeker in the Icy Prison, after all, meaning he was quite good at finding what he was looking for. Terrish managed to successfully reunite with Bea, and then Bea left, hoping for another adventure wherever she visited next.

Brass Union
The maw of the great wyrm breach looked larger, and more harrowing than the rumours Bea had been told. For once, Terrish was quiet at her side, whimpering nervously.

"Careful! That's deep!" a small dusthide dragon approached Bea from behind, flanked a pearlcatcher with several crows on her back. Judging by the battle-scarred state of the dusthide... Bea would assume that they were some sort of training group. Terrish growled worriedly.

As if reading her mind, the dusthide, Knife, chuckled,

"No no, I'm just a safety inspector and my colleague here is a researcher. Are you aware you're on private property? Don't worry, this mining region has been closed for a long time."

"I'd offer to take you down for a tour, but this place is a bit too dangerous. Did you need a play to stay? Your clothes look rather dusty."

Bea accepted the invitation and was given a crow to help guide her to the Wayward Keep, an airship station in dragonhome. There, the snapper captain raised her masked head at her and squinted,

"Ah... you must be Bea, and Terrish." She nodded in the dog's direction.

"You've been expecting us?!" Bea chirped nervously,

"Yup! Just got a letter from a contact in the Viridian, some clan's asking for you. Looks like you'll be well-received there."

Uh-oh, looks like this familiar enthusiast wandered a little too far from her home lair (Tamarin21 #522715), and now she's off to see the world! Rather than exalt, it would be appreciated if you would return her home, to Dragons Off To See The World, or to the rest hub.
