Doombringer

Born in the Hewn City, (name) was raised in a hidden temple to become a Shade Priest. Like everyone, he had to do simple tasks, trying to rise up in the ranks. And he worked very hard, was even rewarded the title ‘Doombringer’ years later, but his tasks stayed the same. But he didn’t mind. The temple was his home.
Now the temple is but a ruin, destroyed by the rage of a creature that shouldn’t exist. A creature with too many limbs, too many heads. Dead eyes. Many horns, twisted, broken. A creature of nightmares.
(Name) doesn’t remember when exactly he spread his wings and started to fly. Maybe it was when he saw the emperor’s heads turning towards him, lifeless eyes staring into his soul. Or maybe it was even before that, the sheer horror at the sight of that dragon-like creature making him scramble away.
Doesn’t know for how long pure adrenaline kept him going until his wings became too heavy, too cold to keep him up.
